Social Media DIY
There is something to be said for learning by doing. For those of you who are social media do-it-yourselfers, I have discovered that the tools of social media are what separate the wheat from the chaff. Everything, of course, begins with a well laid out social media strategy but if you've done the work and now want to jump into the "doing", here are some of the tools that have made my life easy and, most importantly, efficient! If you still need help developing your strategy, drop me a line here and I'll be happy to help.
I've tried them all and simply can't say enough about WIX. Intuitive, easy and a bit like lego - just pick and play!
If only all web hosting was as easy as the folks at BlueHost make it! I've been a customer of BlueHost for years for one simple reason...they make it easy. From purchasing domains, transferring and hosting them, BlueHost have been my go to guys for ever. Did I mention their support team are crazy responsive? Love these guys!
List building and email marketing go hand in hand and are the cornerstone of an effective social media strategy. As you might expect, email marketing tools abound but the most creative one I've found so far is AWeber. AWeber allows you to build beautiful sign-up forms and automates your email marketing in a way that is amazingly simple.
Managing your social feeds can be a pain if you have to sign into every social account to post several times a day. And while there are some free apps around to help you queue your posts, none will give you the campaign management and reporting that Rignite does. I've used others but Rignite is really where its at.
RebelMouse is a great tool for engaging your readers and building a community because it puts all your social channels into one feed. You can see how I use it by going to my "Work with Me" page or you can follow the link to see how other Rebellers are getting in the spirit.
